Beau'Mer processes personal data in order to handle reservations and answer questions.

Beau'Mer, with registered office at Brugsevaart 48, 8620 Nieuwpoort and company number BE 0840.281.997, trading as Beau'Mer (hereinafter "Beau'Mer"), attaches great importance to the safe, transparent and confidential collection and processing of your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the "GDPR").
In this privacy statement we inform you about the collection and processing of your personal data in relation to all services provided by Beau'Mer and, more generally, all activities Beau'Mer carries out. Please read this privacy statement carefully, as it contains essential information about how and why your personal data is processed.
By providing your personal data to us, you expressly declare that you have read this privacy statement and agree to the processing of your data.
Personal data we process
Beau'Mer may process personal data about you because you use our services and/or because you provide it yourself when completing a reservation or contact form or when buying a gift voucher on the website.
Beau'Mer may process the following personal data:
Your first and last name
Your address details
Your phone number
Your e-mail address
Details of your reservation (date, time, number of people, remarks) and your gift voucher (name of the recipient and personal message)
Your IP address
You are responsible for all data you provide to us and we rely on its accuracy. If your details are no longer up to date, please let us know as soon as possible.
Why Beau'Mer needs your data
Beau'Mer processes your personal data to handle and confirm your reservation or order, to contact you by phone or e-mail if you ask us to, and to reach you in writing if you cannot be reached by phone.
Beau'Mer may also process your personal data to perform an agreement concluded with you (such as a stay, table reservation or gift voucher), for accounting, customer management and supplier management. We only send promotional information or newsletters with your prior consent. The legal bases are the performance of the agreement, compliance with legal and/or regulatory obligations, your consent and/or our legitimate interest.
How long Beau'Mer keeps your data
Beau'Mer does not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. If no agreement is concluded with you, your data is kept for no longer than one year. Data we are legally required to keep (such as invoices) is kept for the statutory period.
Sharing with others
Beau'Mer only provides your personal data to third parties if this is necessary to perform an agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. These include our hosting partner, our e-mail service and our online room booking platform.
One or more of these third parties may be located outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). Personal data will, however, only be transferred to third countries offering an adequate level of protection.
The employees, managers and/or representatives of these service providers must respect the confidential nature of your personal data and may only use it for the purposes for which it was provided.
Where necessary, your personal data may be passed on to other third parties, for example in the event of a full or partial reorganisation, a transfer of our activities or bankruptcy, or following a court order or legal obligation. In that case we will make reasonable efforts to inform you in advance, although this is not always technically, commercially or legally possible.

Website visit tracking
The Beau'Mer website may record general visit data, including your computer's IP address, the time of the request and data sent by your browser. This data is used to improve the website, is anonymised as far as possible and is not provided to third parties.
Google Analytics
Beau'Mer may, only with your consent via our cookie banner, use Google Analytics to track how visitors use the website and how effective any Google Ads advertisements are. The information obtained, including your IP address, may be transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Please read Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) for more information.
Google may provide this information to third parties if required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Viewing, correcting or deleting your data
In accordance with Belgian privacy legislation and the GDPR, you have the following rights:
Right of access: you have the right to know, free of charge, what data we hold about you and to check what it is used for.
Right to rectification: you have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected and incomplete data completed.
Right to erasure or restriction: you have the right to ask us to erase your personal data or restrict its processing under the conditions of the GDPR. We may refuse this for data needed for a legal obligation, the performance of the agreement or our legitimate interest, for as long as it is needed for that purpose.
Right to data portability: you have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another controller.
Right to object: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on serious and legitimate grounds, except for data needed for a legal obligation, the performance of the agreement or our legitimate interest.
Right to withdraw consent: if processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Your data will then only be processed if we have another legal basis for doing so.
Automated decisions and profiling: the processing of your personal data does not involve profiling and you are not subject to fully automated decisions.

Beau'Mer takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. Our website uses a trusted SSL certificate. Beau'Mer cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from incorrect or unlawful use of personal data by a third party.
